Roller derby recruitment begins for 2016

The No Coast Derby Girls’ 2015 season ended last weekend with a bid to the prestigious Division I Playoffs in Omaha, where teams from as far as Finland made the cut to round out the 10-team field.

The No Coast Derby Girls (NCDG), coming off an appearance at the prestigious Division 1 Playoffs in Omaha last weekend, will soon begin recruitment classes looking for potential skaters to fill 2016 rosters. Potential skaters will learn -specific skills and basic skating skills throughout the course of the classes.

Recruitment begins Nov. 6 at Abbott Sports Complex. New skaters must be 18 years old and pre-registration is required.If you don’t want to be right in the middle of the action, but still want to be involved in your hometown, Division 1 roller derby league, NCDG is looking for interested skating and non-skating officials for the 2016 season.

The No Coast Derby Girls is a skater owned and operated non-profit and is one of a growing number of all-female flat track roller derby leagues across the nation and a member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association.

The No Coast Derby Girls’ 2015 season ended with an appearance at the prestigious Division I Playoffs in Omaha last weekend.
